Hello, my name is Olivia Fox, and I'm a junior in high school. I started wrestling four years ago, and I never imagined it would become the passion that helps me push forward. I began in 8th grade, and I was the only girl on a team of 28 guys. This was a huge challenge for me, but I'm grateful for it because I've noticed wrestling has given me the confidence to keep pushing forward. It has made me tougher physically and mentally, which I needed in this intense sport, and it helps me cope with other intense challenges in life.
Wrestling is important to me because it has taught me to overcome my fears, push beyond my limits, how to be calm in intense situations, and how to treat my mistakes as lessons, not losses. I don't dwell on them; instead, I capitalize with a counter. Without wrestling, I don't know where I would be; it has formed me into the young woman I am today.
I recently qualified for the Ohio National Team to wrestle in the Fargo tournament in North Dakota. It's one of the toughest tournaments in the country. I'm asking for your support on my journey there; anything helps. The deadline is July 5th. Please support me on my journey.
