This is Olive! A sweet, stray kitty that’s about 8 months old (according to the vet on December 5th).
She was found alone and wounded with a useless tail at Bona Dea on Tuesday, December 2nd. We got her to the vet on the 5th and found out, while the outside skin seemed okay, the skeletal base of her tail had been ripped from her spinal cord, rendering it permanently disabled and prone to infection. Thus, it has to be amputated.
Her amputation is already scheduled for Friday, December 12th. Any donations to alleviate the costs would be greatly appreciated! We have already spent about $300 for an x-ray and all her vaccinations… her amputation itself is estimated to be about $220, but the medications and any complications can raise that. (The disconnect is in a very “inconvenient” spot, which can cause complications.)
If there are any leftover funds, they will go to getting her spayed.
Everything helps!!!
