Hello and thank you for taking the time to check out our go fund me. My son Oliver Sparks has been contracted to a World Class Drum Corp called Music City Drum Corp. This program is amazing for young adults who truly love marching band, particularly if they, like Oliver, are interested in receiving a degree in the music field. Oliver has dreamed of being a music/marching band teacher for years. They have been a part of the CHS Marching Band since they were in 8th grade, and held many rolls during their tenure. This year they are brass section leader, first chair flute, and they have worked so hard at these positions. All of these accomplishments are things that he is proud of but they are also things that can help him receive many scholarships for his chosen college of WKU. Now with the chance of going to DCI he is poised to achieve his dreams and he couldn't be happier or more ready. However, since this program lasts for the entire summer there are many costs. Room and board, travel expenses all over the continental US, uniforms, and high quality marching instruments. The total for the entire summer is $5,400, we are a family of 4 with very little income, but we do not want Oliver to miss out on such an amazing opportunity so if you are capable of donating we would truly appreciate any donation, and if you can't donate please share this go fund me.
