My name is Daryna Baumann. I was born in Ukraine but have been living in the United States since 2015. I started this campaign because my mom and grandma are currently experiencing an emergency. Due to Russian invasion our city Kryvyi Rih has become unlivable, with constant blackouts, lack of drinking water, and never ending missile and drone attacks. My mom Olena Hudym, grandmother Halyna Hryshchenko and their dog Jaya decided to flee and live with me and my husband here in North Carolina as refugees. Unfortunately they lost the folder with all their documents in Poland and missed their flight. They were stuck in Amsterdam for two days and thanks to a very understanding police officer they’re on their way back to Warsaw at the moment. I spent my last penny to buy tickets for them, and both me and my husband were sick with Covid these past few weeks. We are very hopeful that the folder will be found and my family can continue the trip, but we need some money to buy tickets again. If you have a few extra dollars, please donate.
