Support Ola's Recovery and Her Generosity
Donation protected
My name is Jenifer Smith and I am supporting my dear friend, Ola Radchenko. I have known Ola for the past 5 years. I first met her when she became my personal trainer. When the war in Ukraine began, Ola started a charity to send funds to help support the civilian soldiers in Ukraine who had need for warm clothes and medical supplies. An opportunity came to bring her 17 year old brother to the US and we sponsored him as a Ukrainian refugee. Ola and her brother are now apart of our family.
Ola is a dedicated personal trainer and self-employed Kanga Jump instructor who recently moved to New York City. She continues to be an active member of the Ukrainian refugee community in Washington, DC, and New York. She has gone above and beyond, selflessly donating her time and efforts to raise funds for families in Ukraine and providing critical support to Ukrainian soldiers who lost limbs and came to the US for prosthetics. Through her involvement in this program, Ola has helped dozens of Ukrainian soldiers regain a sense of hope and strength.
Ola has a beautiful singing voice, but recently, she began experiencing difficulty speaking and singing. After a thorough evaluation, she was diagnosed with cysts on her vocal cords, which require surgery to remove. Her surgery is scheduled for today, December 23rd, just two days before Christmas. Unfortunately, this surgery will necessitate a period of vocal rest, meaning she will be restricted from speaking for the first 10 days and will be very limited in her ability to communicate for up to a couple of months afterward. She will also be restricted from strenuous exercise and activity. As a personal trainer and Kanga Jump instructor who works six days a week to support herself, Ola does not have paid sick leave, so while recovering, she will be unable to work and cover her living expenses. Though her health insurance will cover the surgery itself, Ola needs support to bridge the gap during her recovery. All funds generated by this Go Fund Me account will go directly to Ola for her living expenses for the time that she is unable to hold her classes as she will have no salary coming in while she is recovering. I’m reaching out to ask for your help in covering her living expenses ( rent, utilities, groceries) and any unanticipated health care costs while she heals and regains her voice. Your generosity will allow her to focus on her recovery without the added stress of financial hardship. Thank you for considering supporting this incredible woman who has given so much to others.
