I am a student at the University of Oklahoma who works in the Japanese Department and is close friends with the head of the department, Doctor Frydman. He invited me to this program because of my enthusiasm for Japanese history and culture. I am gracious to have a chance at an opportunity not thought possible for someone who has never even left his own state.

I have obtained most of the money required for the program through other means, but require approximately another $1,500 for the bare minimum requirement. After that, all funds will go towards the bare essentials like eating and public transport when I am in Japan.
