He, kulamalsi hach. My name is O’Kihi Kills Crow and I am honored to be the 2025-2026 Delaware Powwow Princess. I am 17 years old and the daughter of Chad Kills Crow and Jamie Speth. I am Lenape and Lakota. My given name, O’Kihi, means “can do” or “capable”.  I received my Lakota name Heska Wi (White Mountain Woman) when I was young at the Yellow Bear Sundance in South Dakota.  I also have an older brother, Wopila Kills Crow, who attends the University of Kansas. I have been attending Copan Powwow since I was born, and I am so excited for my opportunity as princess. I recently finished my junior year at Maize High School in Maize, Kansas as a member of the National Honors Society. I am involved in choir at my school where I enjoy singing and performing. I am also in the Madrigal Choir where we perform as a small ensemble at contests and shows. I have a love and passion for animals and I am interested in perusing a career in animal rehabilitation. I love to travel and visit different parts of the world, and I hope to be able to spend my life seeing new places and experiencing different cultures. I strive to educate and spread awareness about my native culture as a way to pass on history to those who may not know about it. I currently plan to attend the University of Kansas once I graduate high school along with many of my other friends. My culture is very important to me, and I strive to learn more about my heritage. My paternal grandparents, Anthony and Linda Kills Crow, give me lots of inspiration when it comes to learning about my family’s history and our culture as Native Americans. One of my favorite memories from Copan Powwow when I was young was being able to dance with my cousins and then falling asleep with them on the benches surrounding the arena. I have been dancing at different powwows since I was little, with my favorite moment being when I won first place when I was dancing with the age group older than me! I would again like to thank the Powwow Committee for choosing me to represent the Delaware Powwow as their Princess! Wanishi
