Ogarth Thompson, owner of Ogarth’s Kitchen, has been a beloved part of the Akron community since 2020. Known for serving authentic Jamaican cuisine, Ogarth’s food truck, restaurant, and catering business have brought people together and provided smiles and comfort to many. Beyond his delicious meals, Ogarth is recognized for his generosity—he has consistently fed the homeless and supported those less fortunate, always giving back to the community he loves.

Recently, Ogarth’s life changed dramatically when he was shot 11 times during an attempted robbery. He is now facing a long and difficult recovery, with multiple surgeries and ongoing therapy ahead. Ogarth is unable to work or stand for long periods, making it impossible for him to run his business or provide for his family as he heals. The financial strain of medical bills, daily living expenses, and the challenge of keeping Ogarth’s Kitchen afloat have created an urgent need for support.
