On Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at around 10:30 pm, Deputy Tim Sims was shot twice in the line of duty.  He suffered a shot to his face and leg. His injuries incude: loss of hearing in his left ear, a crushed sinus cavity, an impeded carotid artery due to bullet fragments, leg injury, and left over bullet fragments in his face and leg that could possibly impact him later. He has a long road to recovery due to the severity of his injuries. Deputy Sims, and his wife, Cassidy, are expecting twins.
