Support Officer Mendez's Recovery Journey

Hello friends and family of LADWP.

My name is Jay and I’m here to help out our friend and coworker Officer Jose Mendez.

Jose recently suffered a stroke at work and has been hospitalized since.

Fast acting from fellow officers on scene aided in Jose receiving the necessary medical attention required, and the prompt response from LAFD transporting Jose to a nearby hospital indeed saved his life.

Currently, Jose is stable and things are looking promising, but the road to full recovery is a long ways away.

I am here to ask for your help in helping Jose’s family in this difficult time.
