Officer Andrew Llewellyn, a dedicated five-year veteran of Law Enforcement and current member of the Covington Police Department, recently sustained severe injuries while in the line of duty. While chasing a wanted subject, Officer Llewellyn suffered a complete rupture of his patella and quadriceps tendons, as well as his Achilles tendon in his right foot. The road to full recovery will take anywhere from 12 to 18 months, during which he will be unable to return to work.
Officer Llewellyn is a highly respected Field Training Officer who was honored as Covington's Officer of the Year in 2023. He has earned the respect and admiration of both his peers and the community he serves. Officer Llewellyn is also a loving husband and father to a young child. Unfortunately, due to his injuries, he will lose significant income from overtime and details, making this recovery period even more challenging for his family.
This GoFundMe is set up to help ease the financial burden on Officer Llewellyn and his family, allowing him to focus solely on his recovery without worrying about lost income. We invite you to contribute what you can to show your appreciation for his service and help him through this difficult time.
Let's come together as a community and support Officer Llewellyn, just as he has supported us. Your generosity will make a difference for his family as they navigate this challenging year ahead.
Thank you for your support.
