Support the Family of Officer Carlson, A Dedicated Detroit Police Officer

We are reaching out with heavy hearts and a plea for support for the family of Officer Carlson who served the city of Detroit with unwavering dedication and courage. Officer Carlson began her noble journey with the Detroit Police Department on April 25, 2016, as a part of Class 2016E. Over the course of her distinguished career, spanning nine and a half years, she touched countless lives with her bravery, kindness, and selflessness.

Tragically, Officer Carlson passed away on September 18, 2025, after a courageous battle with cervical cancer. She left the department only recently to focus on her health but always remained deeply connected to her fellow officers and the community she loved so dearly. Unfortunately due to her departure from the Detroit Police Department, her funeral and medical costs will befall handled by her family alone. Her loss is profoundly felt by all who knew her.

Officer Carlson was more than just a dedicated officer; she was a beloved daughter and friend. She is survived by her family who now face the unimaginable challenge of moving forward without her presence, love, and support.

We have established this GoFundMe to rally around Officer Carlson's family during this difficult time. Our goal is to raise funds to help cover medical expenses incurred during her battle with cancer, funeral costs, and to provide some financial stability for her family as they navigate this heartbreaking transition.
