**Fundraiser - Police Officer Line of Duty Injury**

 

On November 12, 2025, Independence (LA) Police Officer Anthony Bryson was struck and seriously injured by gunfire during a pursuit involving a violent suspect in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana.

Having previously worked alongside Anthony Bryson at the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, and myself being a member of local law enforcement, his severe line-of-duty injury has weighed heavily on my heart.

Today, I reached out to Anthony for another update on his condition: the bullet entered Anthony’s thigh, shattered his femur, travelled downward through his knee and exited from his lower leg. However, thanks to the many prayers, first responders, and medical staff, he’s going home to begin a long road to recovery. This is only the beginning for Anthony, and he needs our support more than ever.

I know recent political posts have overshadowed this incident in the media, but I also know how strong our sense of community and our support of law enforcement is in Tangipahoa Parish.
