Hi everyone, this is Stephanie Jones. I’m hoping you can help out.

My dear friends/family lost their beloved father/grandfather/husband unexpectedly to stroke complications on Wednesday, June 30th.   
David Daryl Shatto leaves behind his beautiful wife Melinda, son Daryl, daughter Melinie and grandchildren. David was a very devoted, loving, kind man.

He self sacrificed so much of himself to support his wife who has lived with a severe illness for more than 20+ years and his children. David loved his family with every morsel of his being. He was strong, simple, patient, and such a balanced man who I’ve had the pleasure to know over the past 24 years.

While David didn’t have a lot to offer financially to leave behind he was truly a nurturer at heart and that was more than enough. The family’s told it will take months to get financial affairs in order, if there is much of any. Melinie and her companion Nick had to leave their life behind in Eugene and move up here to care for her Mother with her illness.

David deserves to have a proper burial near his loved ones. Melinie also needs support during their transition for housing to care for her mother.

Whether you may know the Shatto’s or not, this would be a good family to support in their time of need. They all have given so much and could really use a helping hand.

I would only do fundraisers if there’s a true need. I’m trying to raise $5000 for burial costs and all. Burial alone is costing $3500, asking for more to help Melinie get her and her mother settled.   

Anything would be a blessing for them, even some kind words would be appreciated.
