Appeal for donation for the support of COVID-19 victims
आदरणीय नेपाली समुदाय;
अहिलेको परिस्थितीमा कोरोनाभाइरस (COVID-19)को कारण सबै अस्तव्यस्तका साथै पीडित छौं। यसलाई मध्यनजर राखेर अमेरिकी सरकारले राहतको ब्यवस्था त गर्यो तर बिबिध कारणबाट बिभिन्न समुदायहरु जस्तो अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय बिद्यार्थीहरु, सानो-तिनो ठाउँमा नगदमा काम गर्नेहरु, नेपालबाट भर्खर आएर आफ्नो ब्यवस्था मिलाउन सुरु गर्ने व्यक्ति वा परिवारहरुसम्म ति राहत पुगी रहेको छैन र पुग्ने सम्भावना पनि छैन। ति हाम्रा नेपाली समुदायलाई केहि राहतहरु पुर्याउने हेतुले यो संस्था(NANC) र NRN NCC USA, CA Chapter को संयुक्त पहलमा स्थानीय अन्य संघ-संस्था तथा समाजसेवीहरुको एउटा टोली बनाएका छौं। उक्त संघ-संस्था आफैले र सहभागी व्यक्तित्वहरुले आफ्नो तर्फबाट केहि रकम जोहो गरेर यो अभियान सुरु गरेका छौं। यो अनुरोध गर्दै गर्दाको दिनसम्म $३,२७५.२५ संकलन भई सकेको छ तर आवश्यकताको आंकलनलाई ध्यान दिंदा यति रकम अपुग हुने हुँदा इच्छुक दानी दाताहरुसंग यो GoFund मार्फत आर्थिक सहयोगको लागी अनुरोध गरेका छौं।
यस सम्बन्धी कृयाकलापहरुको जानकारी पनि हामी यसै फेसबुकमार्फत जानकारी गराउने छौं।
Dear Nepali communities’ leaders and all kindhearted donors,
We all are facing a hard time due to the COVID-19 pandemic which claimed thousands of lives globally and more than 50,000 people died in the USA and around 800,000 are infected by this deadly virus. After the government’s shelter in place order in the third week of March 2020, many community members are affected. Mostly, international students, restaurant workers, newly arrived immigrants, visitors and senior citizens are severely affected. These categories of people are not receiving any kind of government support and they need immediate assistance.
In this regards, Nepali Association of Northern California (NANC) with NRNA NCC USA California chapter and Northern California various community based organizations have joined hands together to forge broader coalition in the name of “COVID-19 Help Centre” .We are raising funds online and offline in order to raise funds for the support of our needy Nepali buba/ama, brothers and sisters in this difficult time.
The cloud of uncertainty is moving around us, and, in this time, we must prepare for the worst situation in future. Therefore, we are opening “Go FUND” to raise more funds online. We all request you to support our cause wholeheartedly and donate in your capacity. Donations of any amount will be highly appreciated. Let us make this campaign successful by meeting our goal amount.
