Help Odin (Odie) Fight - Medical Emergency Fund

Hello, we are Aaron and Stephanie Viscounte, and we’re reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help. Our beloved fur baby, Odin (Odie), has been battling a terrible cough over the past two days that quickly worsened. After rushing him to the emergency vet, we were devastated to learn that he has pneumonia- which updated below the severity of this kind of pneumonia . Odie’s condition requires immediate hospitalization, ongoing treatments, and antibiotics, which has unexpectedly cost us around $3,500.

As many of you know, I (Stephanie) am nearly 8 months pregnant, and I am self-employed with my slower season starting. With a toddler, two other dogs, and limited resources, this unexpected medical expense has put a strain on our finances. We’ve always been the type to handle things ourselves, but at this moment, we find ourselves needing support.

Odin is a cherished member of our family, and we want to do everything we can to help him recover and get back to being the happy, playful dog we all know and love. If you’re able to contribute in any way, no matter how small, it would mean the world to us and Odie.

12:30pm Update 1:: got an update a little bit go that he has went septic and not improving. We are going to stay hopeful as they are doing all they can to figure out how to stop ot from spreading to his organs.

2:00 Update 2: they found mostly all his fighting cell capabilities are low. Especially platelets, so they are going to try to give him an infusion to see if that will help his body fight this. Not a guarantee but can increase his odds 20-40%.

2:15pm Update 3: we are driving to Cleveland as no local hospitals have the infusion he needs.

update 4: we dropped off infusions, and had an update that he was in a lot of pain and isnt improving.

Update 5: we told Odin goodbye.
