Help Odin Recover After a Hit-and-Run
Hi, my name is Amanda, and I’m asking for help for my dog, Odin
On April 15th, 2026, Odin was hit by a car in a hit-and-run accident. He was struck at around 35 mph, and while he miraculously survived, he suffered serious injuries
Odin has severe trauma to his face, including a large laceration that split his upper gums. Many of the teeth on the left side of his mouth were broken and had to be removed. He also suffered painful road rash, and imaging was needed to check for additional injuries to his head and pelvis. During this they did find fractures to his cheekbone and upper muzzle.
Despite everything, Odin has been incredibly strong. His surgery was successful, and he is now on the road to recovery. However, he is still struggling, both physically and emotionally. Since the accident, he has begun showing signs of trauma and anxiety, and we are now working with his vet to help him heal from that as well.
Odin is a Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix and truly the sweetest, most resilient little dog. He means everything to me!
I’m currently balancing a Master’s program, caring for my elderly mother, and working with children, and this unexpected emergency has been overwhelming financially. His medical bills have reached over $5,000 (ER visit, inital dental visit, + surgery), and I’m asking for help to cover the cost of his care so I can focus on helping him fully recover
Any donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. If you’re unable to give, sharing this page would mean so much to us
Thank you for taking the time to read Odin’s story and for supporting his recovery. ❤
