Hello. My name is Odelia Omosebi and I am trying to raise money to get a Medical Alert/Psychiatric Service Dog. I mainly suffer from fainting and seizure episodes, but also experience drop attacks and panic attacks. With multiple considerations from my healthcare professionals, they suggest that a service dog will add great value to my life and will assist me in having a more independent future. My neurological conditions are specifically Functional Neurological Disorder, Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures, and Misophonia. My psychiatric conditions include Major Depressive Disorder, General Anxiety Disorder, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. I was diagnosed with FND and PNES in May of 2023 and with Misophonia just a few months over. Since 5th grade, I have been battling my psychiatric disorders and switching between various medications. With several years of trying different medications and treatments for my neurological and psychiatric disorders, getting a service dog has been an option to get me back on my feet and gain confidence throughout my day.

The average cost of medical alert and psychiatric service dogs range from $ 15,000+ to $50,000+. I am currently enrolled as a student at the University of Pittsburgh and will be pursuing a Bachelor's in Neuroscience. I appreciate any support in helping me become the person I know I can be.
