Support OCTO: Celebrating Underground Hip-Hop Talent
About The Organizers
OCTO, founded by Tobe Chuke (University of Southern California – Music Industry) and Obinna Chuke (The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania – Business, Analytics & Marketing), is dedicated to showcasing the innovation and artistry of underground hip-hop. Our mission is to amplify diverse voices, foster representation, and create a platform where raw, authentic talent can thrive beyond mainstream limits.
Through strategic partnerships, a strong marketing push, and handpicked talent, OCTO aims to deliver a high-energy, immersive concert experience that both the audience and artists will remember.
Why We Need Your Support!
To bring this vision to life, we need funding for essential costs, including:
- Venue rental for a 5000-square-foot event warehouse located in the Echo Park neighborhood in Los Angeles, just minutes from downtown and the 101 freeway
- Artist fees to support emerging underground talent.
- Security, production, and stage setup to ensure an engaging and safe experience.
- Marketing & promotions (flyers, social media campaigns, influencer outreach).
- Merchandise production to promote and support featured artists.
- Travel expenses for event staff to coordinate logistics efficiently.
- Website development & ticketing system to streamline sales and event access.
The venue will provide an immersive experience with a versatile layout, high ceilings, and space for lighting, sound, and visual effects that enhance performances and audience engagement.
We are also collaborating with UndergroundSound, a platform that promotes independent voices in hip-hop, to expand event visibility and credibility.
How Can You Help?
Every contribution goes directly toward making OCTO a major underground hip-hop event that gives emerging artists a professional platform to showcase their talent. Whether you donate $10 or $500, your support helps us create opportunities for independent musicians and build a thriving community.
Help us celebrate hip-hop and make this concert a reality!
