Octavia is a 2-year-old American Bulldog with the soul of a teddy bear and a smile that melts hearts. She's goofy, affectionate, and happiest when she’s sprawled across your lap soaking up some belly rubs. Her favorite pastime? Playtime! She’ll wrestle, chase toys, and shower you with kisses. She’s a little bulldozer of joy who dreams of being the next WWE champ (or at least the star of your living room).

But behind that big smile, Octavia is hurting.

This sweet girl came to us when her former owner had to relocate and couldn’t take her along. While she adjusted with resilience and tail wags, we recently discovered that Octavia has a torn cruciate ligament in her left hind leg, a painful injury that makes walking hard and playtime nearly impossible. To get her back on her feet (literally), she needs surgery that will repair her knee, relieve her pain, and give her back the freedom to romp, play, and chase after her forever family. The surgery costs $6,000, and we can’t do it without your help. The procedure will be done at a trusted veterinary facility in Northern Virginia, about three and a half hours from our facility in the mountains of Western Maryland.
