On October 9, 2025, Océane, our beautiful, intelligent, self-driven, and strong daughter, was admitted to the Templeton Twin Cities Hospital in a critical condition, which was thought to be appendicitis. It was, in fact, a rupture of an ovarian cyst that had leaked blood into her stomach, which was happening because of her life-threatening blood level. Doctors quickly determined she had AML, Acute Myeloid Leukemia. It accounts for only 1% of all cancers overall. AML is also the most fatal type of leukemia. She was rushed to UCLA Medical Center by helicopter. She is facing adversity with chemo, biopsies, blood transfusions, rashes, infections, etc. Oh yeah, she is suffering, but she is such a trooper. Her strength inspires us. We can't express our gratitude enough to the Templeton Twin Cities Hospital, the Mercy Air Ambulance, and the UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center for all the medical care given to our daughter.

Unfortunately, cancer and financial difficulties should not have to be in the same sentence. It leads to significant emotional stress for our daughter and her family. Your financial contribution will help us to pay out-of-pocket expenses such as gas, parking, food, lodging, loss of earnings, etc. It is very difficult and embarrassing to ask for that type of support.
