Our 8-year-old Schnauzer, Obi, is in need of surgery. Obi is the baby of our family of seven and is loved unconditionally. On a good day, Obi loves going on his walks in the field, playing with our other pup Charli, and getting all the scratches and pets that anyone will give him. His favorite thing to do is sit with his dad and get a tummy rub.

Unfortunately, Obi has not been quite himself for about a year and a half now. He has been in and out of the vet's office with ear infections that have caused his mood to be very low and have kept him from enjoying the things that he loves. We recently found out that the cause of his chronic ear infections is a tumor that has developed behind his right ear. This tumor is the aggressive kind that came on fast and grew very quickly. The doctors believe that it is not the kind that will spread to other areas and that if it is removed, he can live healthy and happy for many more years. The surgeon would like to remove the tumor as well as the entire ear canal on his right side so that he will no longer have to worry about ear infections in that ear again. This is a very invasive surgery and it is not cheap. Our family can use all the help that we can get to pay for Obi's surgery.
