Hi, I’m Obie Sanders. I had a stroke back at the end of Oct. 2025. I was in the hospital for a week, then I spent about 9 weeks in a nursing home. That’s a separate story. In that time, all my stuff was put in boxes (I was asked to move before the stroke).

I’m currently at a Motel 6 in San Diego waiting for my disability payments to start. I have the disability meeting on Monday (the 2nd), the same time I need to leave Motel 6. I need either your money or a place to live until my benefits begin. (Most have opted for money.)

I know most of you have given me cash money in the past. I’ve taken to openly wholesale begging for help from you since it’s become that bad. I think I’ll recover 98% of my abilities—my walking, my right arm, and my speech, which is okay but will require hard work on my part. There is some light at the end of the tunnel; I just need to get through that tunnel. Either way, thanks for your time!
