Help Oakley Get the Surgery He Needs

My name is Trina , and I’m fundraising for our sweet dog Oakley. He was recently in a terrible accident and needs urgent medical care.

While riding in a car, Oakley jumped out of the window after spotting another animal. He suffered a severe injury to his front leg along with multiple scratches and lacerations. He was rushed to the emergency vet, where we learned the devastating news: Oakley has a brachial plexus avulsion, the most severe type of nerve tear from the spinal cord. Unfortunately, this means his front leg cannot be saved, and he now requires an amputation.

Without this surgery, Oakley’s condition will continue to worsen. He is already experiencing muscle wasting in his shoulder and must wear a large cone to stop him from chewing at his paw.

The cost of Oakley’s surgery and follow-up care is over $4,500, which is more than I can afford on my own. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward Oakley’s surgery at Blake Veterinary in Searsport, as well as his medications and aftercare at the Warren Emergency Clinic.

Despite everything, Oakley is still full of love, joy, and tail wags. With your help, he can have a second chance at a happy, healthy life on three legs.
