Good morning
- Friends and Family, I’m trying to raise funds for my daughter, Ny’Ziah M. Weekes, who has sickle cell disease. She has not seen her doctors for the past two years. As you know, M.A.P no longer pays for your stays, so I’ve had to cancel appointments because they now only cover your flights. For the past two months, she has been in and out of the hospital, and again, as you know, STX Hospital can’t do much for her. It doesn’t have any pediatricians for kids her age here, so that’s why for the past 9 years of her life, we’ve been back and forth from St.Croix the U.S Virgin Islands to Miami. I finally come to the point that I really and truly have to leave with her. She has had 58 blood transfusions, surgery done on her left hip, and a splenectomy where they removed her spleen. I’ve been going through it all. Those of you who know, know I’ve been through it all. Now it has come to the point that I can’t see her here in this pain, missing so much of school because now it’s sickle in her bone. She has to use her walker but refuses to go to school with it because someone’s untamed child or children are teasing or harassing her about her situation. So, with that being said, our flights are already booked Sunday the 11th and appointments are already set for Monday the 15 till the 23 . Hopefully, we get what we need. I’D Reach my goal of 5,000 to put with what I have to secure our Airbnb for the next 2 months !! WE REALLY NEED YOUR SUPPORT.
The funds will also be going towards our Airbnb here in Miami or toward getting us an apartment that I can enroll them in school here as well .
