Greetings! My name is Nyla Veal, and I am a second-year Accounting scholar at Florida State University (FSU). I aspire to obtain my Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification at FSU and later pursue law school. Along this journey, I hope to inspire underrepresented children to chase their dreams, pursue higher education, and create opportunities for themselves and their communities.

I am excited to announce that I will be participating in the 2026 Miss Black and Old Gold Scholarship Pageant as Contestant #7. With my platform, Dreams to Degrees, I aim to bridge the gap between aspiration and access for underrepresented students. As someone who is navigating the path toward professional success myself, I understand how important exposure, mentorship, and resources are in shaping academic outcomes.

With that being said, I am raising funds to assist with the costs associated with competing in this scholarship pageant. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful impact and bring me one step closer to achieving my goal of becoming your next Miss Black and Old Gold of the Iota Delta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
