Hello family, friends, and kind supporters!
My name is Nyla McFadden, and I am a Junior psychology student at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. I am beyond excited to share that I have been blessed with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study psychology abroad in Europe this summer. This trip is part of a specialized tour that will take me to London, Vienna, and Amsterdam, where I will be learning from leading psychologists, visiting historical landmarks, and engaging with diverse cultures.
As a student attending an HBCU, I am passionate about breaking barriers and expanding my horizons in the field of psychology as I continue to pursue my academic endeavors in clinical psychology. This trip will allow me to not only immerse myself in new ways of thinking about mental health, but also connect with scholars and professionals who share a commitment to creating change within their communities. I would love to return home with new ideas and global perspectives to advocate for mental health communities, especially in underserved communities.
However, this experience comes with significant expenses that I need help covering. Your support will go directly toward travel expenses, accommodations, program fees, and other costs associated with this educational journey. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will bring me one step closer to turning my dream into a reality.
This study abroad opportunity (Mid-late May) is a pivotal moment in my academic and professional journey, and I truly cannot do it without you!
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any help you can provide! Aggie Pride!
With gratitude,
Nyla McFadden
