Nyia is a devoted 24-year-old single mother and college student whose life changed dramatically in May. After spending three weeks in the hospital, she was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that has spread to her liver. The diagnosis came after a series of scans and a liver biopsy. She has since undergone ostomy surgery because it's unsafe to remove the mass on her colon at this time. Throughout this ordeal, Nyia has shown incredible strength, especially for her three-year-old son who needs her now more than ever.

As Nyia’s father, I created this GoFundMe because I've taken a leave from work to be her caretaker. The money I had saved has been used to support her. The challenges Nyia faces are overwhelming! She's unable to work while undergoing treatment, and the costs of medical supplies, medicine, copays, and daily living expenses continue to add up. Despite the tough days, Nyia does her best to stay positive, drawing strength from her love for her three-year-old son and determination to keep moving forward.
