Nyajuok was born on August 8, 1999—08/08/99—a Sunday. Her mother was overjoyed to give birth on a Sunday, because it meant a home birth, a peaceful and loving welcome for her first child.

From that day forward, Nyajuok’s life was written in the same breath: she made life easier, brighter, and more beautiful for everyone fortunate enough to know her.

As I write this note, asking for donations, I also want to ask you to pause, just for a moment, to center yourself and feel a deep sense of love within your heart. That is what it felt like to know Nyajuok.

She was a truly beautiful person. To say she is gone feels impossible, like a thought you push away because it’s too painfully surreal to hold. Her spirit was made of pure love and compassion, and although the reality is that she has passed from a tragic accident on July 28, 2025, she will live forever in the lives she touched and the world she helped shape.

We are asking for donations to celebrate her life and lay her to rest. And if all you can do is read this note, thank you for taking the time to read and feel with us as we grieve.
