We are raising funds for a my mother and who is currently facing the fight of her life.

Tina Perez (or Nurse Tina) has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) — an aggressive form of blood cancer that requires immediate and intensive treatment. Right now, she is undergoing hospitalization, chemotherapy, and specialized medical care that will likely continue for months. While the doctors are focused on saving her life, the financial burden on her and her family is overwhelming.

Between:

• Long hospital stays

• Chemotherapy and medications

• Travel to treatment centers

• Lost income for caregivers

• Housing, food, and daily living expenses

… the costs quickly become impossible for any family to manage alone.

This family should not have to worry about how to pay the bills or keeping their house while they are fighting for a life.

My mom is not just a patient receiving care - she was a nurse for 55 years— and she is the heart of her family. She is someone who has given and continues to give so much love, care, and strength to the community around her. Now she needs that love returned. If you or any of your loved ones have ever been hospitalized, there's a good chance they've crossed paths with her. Every hospital in this city and a couple of CCISD schools have been lucky enough to receive her care. Now, she NEEDS it more than ever.
