Our colleague and friend, Susie, at Orange County Global Medical Center has dedicated her life to being an ICU RN, putting in over 20 years of service to our hospital.  During the COVID-19 pandemic, Susie’s service to her profession and her patients continued, serving as a front-line healthcare worker for the sickest COVID-19 patients. As an ICU RN, Susie understood the risk caring for these patients entails, but did not shy away from the challenge.  Unfortunately, we learned last week that Susie contracted COVID-19.  At first, her symptoms were mild, but she soon found her health deteriorating and she needed to receive the ICU care that she expertly administered to other patients in her condition. 

She is a loving wife of 28 years to her husband, Mario, and the proud mother of four amazing daughters, three of whom are in college pursuing advanced degrees.  Her dedication to her family and friends stands out amongst her many other admirable traits.  Susie is smart, tenacious, and an integral part of her family and the ICU team at OCGMC.   

With three daughters in college and the strain of Susie’s sudden illness, the Ante family finds themselves under emotional and financial strain from this very stressful situation.  For many years, Susie held the hands of the sick and dying, cared for strangers like her own family, and provided support for her patients during their darkest hours.  We are asking that you find it in your heart to help her and her family during their time of need.  Anything you can donate would be very appreciated by the Ante family.  Thank you.
