As Salaamu Alaikum (Peace be Upon You),

My name is Nubia Bilal, and I’m so excited to share that I’ve been accepted into the Leadership and Service Study Abroad Summer Program 2026, in Morocco!

Growing up the past three years since my mother’s (Muslimah Bilal, Rahimullah) passing hasn’t been easy, but the love and support of my family and community has helped me stay focused, work hard in school, and strive to be kind, service-oriented, and a leader among my friends.

This program will be my first time traveling outside the country, and it’s a dream opportunity to increase my leadership skills, experience a new culture, and grow as a person. My mother also participated in a similar program, studying abroad in China, so being able to participate feels like a way to honor her memory and continue the path she started.

The program runs from July 9 to July 29, 2026. I’ve earned a partial scholarship toward the trip and I am hoping to raise a total of $5,000 to cover the remaining tuition, airfare, funds for the things I’ll need to prepare for the trip, extra meals/snacks, and souvenirs once I arrive.

Your support, no matter how large or small the amount, will allow me to fully embrace this life-changing opportunity and continue growing into the person I am determined to be.
