Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Hearts,

My name is Carly, and my fiancé Justin are Nova’s dog parents. Nova unfortunately was just diagnosed with Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) and Pancreatitis. For those who don’t know this is a serious and potentially life-threatening complication of diabetes that occurs when the body doesn't have enough insulin to allow blood sugar into cells for energy.

We are reaching out with heavy hearts, hopeful spirits and praying for a fast recovery for our baby girl Nova, in hopes for your support.

Nova is 5 years old, for everyone who knows her, she is the most kind and loving Rottie who loves belly rubs, butt scratches, all the treats she can get her little paws too and destroying every single toy she is given. And we can’t forget loving her little Poodle sister Sky.

Nova has given our family endless love, supporting us emotionally when we all need some joy in our lives. She is our first fur-baby and we can’t imagine our lives without her.

So far, we’re looking for assistance with covering the costs of her hospitalization, as she is currently undergoing critical treatments to stabilize her condition. We are doing our best to get her back to normal as she has been hospitalized for 2 days and according to the Vet she could stay in the Animal Hospital for up to 1 week depending on her condition as unfortunately, DKA is a condition that requires medical intervention as it could lead to serious complications for Nova’s life.

The costs of these treatments are substantial, and we are seeking to raise funds to cover Nova’s ongoing hospitalization treatment. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference in giving Nova the best chance of survival and a chance to continue spreading her love and joy. As for the rest of her life, Nova will need to receive insuline shots and visit the vet frequently to ensure she is in good health.
