Support NourishXNoir's Opening

Hello Everyone,

We are a trio of Black Queer Women (Georgia, Davina and Namio) and have been working tirelessly across the last 4 years to launch our business, NourishXNoir. This skin care studio with a focus on hair curation/removal will be the first of its kind in New York. Our slogan is “We take care of each other, now let us take care of you.”

As a group of close friends often referring to ourselves as family we’ve spent years working under the supervision and often criticism of others. We’ve faced homophobia, misogynoir, gaslighting, racism and more trying to navigate the beauty industry. It came to a point where we knew we had to be the change we wanted to see moving forward.

As it stands, we are now an incorporated LLC with bank accounts, an insurance policy, webpage (nourishxnoir.com) and we have finally found our dream space to open doors for clients this June!

We have collectively invested thousands of our own money and even more countless hours doing double shifts and odd jobs to acquire said funds.

We are at the last lap of this marathon run of opening this business and wish to ask the community for support in keeping us afloat for our initial months.

As we know, most small businesses do not make a profit for the first 2-3 years on average. What we’re asking for are any and all donations to go to the following::

- Last months commercial rent deposit ($2500)

- Estheticians insurance($500)

- Utilities setup and maintenance($500)

- Additional software, job supplies and studio furnishings ($1500-$2000)
