My name is Eleanor, I am based in the United States, and I am raising funds for my dear friend Noura and her family in Gaza. They have endured unimaginable loss due to the ongoing Israeli siege, which has stripped them of their home and basic necessities.

Before October 7th, Noura was a dedicated seamstress, working hard alongside her husband to create a better future for themselves and their beautiful baby girl, Bara'a, who was born two months prior to the onset of this crisis. Since birth, Bara'a has only known hardship and struggle, as her family fights desperately to survive amidst the devastation around them.

Currently, Noura is facing an increasingly dire situation. Food has not entered Gaza for over 90 days, and basic supplies have become alarmingly scarce, with prices soaring beyond what most families can afford. To add to their struggles, Noura and her family are without any shelter, exposed to harsh conditions. They sleep on the floor under the ruins of a building, with only a mattress exposed to dirt, rainwater, and sewage. A high-quality tent costs over $1,000. A bag of flour can cost up to $700, and even transportation for a short distance can set them back $300, making every day a challenge.

Everything that they once knew and loved is completely gone. All their belongings, home, dreams, and childhood were destroyed by relentless Israeli airstrikes. Living through a genocide has put this family of three through a great deal of terror and near-death experiences. Currently, Noura's daughter, Bara'a, is experiencing illness due to malnourishment and limited medicine in Gaza. Noura describes that her daughter is experiencing unimaginable pain, and with no medicine and food readily available, she keeps her parents up all night in agony. Clean water is also almost nonexistent, another cause of disease.

As the cost of living continues to rise, I am organizing this campaign to support Noura and her family. I will be wiring the funds so they can meet their basic survival needs and evacuate safely once the borders open.
