Hello, my name is Lynn and I am fundraising for my friend Nour Abdul Reda. She is a 28-year-old girl from Lebanon and she was forced to flee her home because of the war in Lebanon, leaving behind not only her sense of safety but also loved ones that are yet to be able to escape. As she navigates displacement and the challenges of starting over, I am seeking support to create a stable home where she can heal and move forward with hope.

A bit about Nour: "I am from Qana, a historical village in the South of Lebanon, which the Bible cites as where Jesus Christ performed his first miracle of turning water into wine. I take pride in Qana, the hometown where my dad grew up, picking olives in October and peeling prickly pear cactus in August. Hopefully, we will return soon.

I work in the humanitarian sector, supporting women from vulnerable backgrounds to access livelihoods and economic opportunities.

Over the past months, I have experienced profound loss, including the loss of family members, friends, and the sense of security that many of us often take for granted.

Like many people living through conflict, I have faced mental health challenges as I adjusted to uncertainty and change. This experience led me to renew my commitment to prioritizing my well-being and recovery."

One of the most important steps in Nour's journey has been creating a stable and independent living environment. She recently rented a small apartment in Sin El Fil, Beirut. Living independently has long been a personal goal of hers, but her financial responsibilities, including supporting her family (as the main breadwinner) and contributing to her sister’s university education, have always placed that dream out of reach.

As is common in Lebanon, her rental agreement requires several months of rent to be paid in advance, in addition to furnishing and equipping the apartment with basic necessities. She is seeking to raise $3,000 (DKK 20,000/ EUR 2,600) to help cover essential expenses, including:

* Remaining rental and service fees $1,800

* A refrigerator $400

* A washing machine $300

* A gas stove $300

* Other basic household necessities needed to establish a safe and functional home $200
