Hello, my name is Edyn Lim, and I'm raising funds for a new short film, "Nothing Happens in Los Altos", directed and written by Maya Nieman and Lemo Sekiguchi.

As summer in a sun-drenched Northern California suburb fades away in 2013, Sage, desperate to hold on to her drifting best friend retraces the places that shaped them unaware that love, distance, and growing up means confronting unspoken feelings, learning how to let go even when you’re not ready to say goodbye, and finding the painful beauty in doing so.

Set in 2013 just before marriage equality became legal in the U.S., this film also touches on the emotional dissonance of growing up queer in a world on the brink of change. We wanted to capture the ache of queer desire left unspoken when the world wasn’t quite ready to hold it yet.
