Support Nosipho's Service & Scholarly Aims in South Africa

Hello everyone,

My name is Nosipho Vilakazi and I'm a student at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. This summer, I have been awarded an incredible opportunity to travel to South Africa, my home country, to work on two meaningful projects from May to August.

The first is through a Projects for Peace grant, which will allow me to create a support program for neurodivergent primary school children in Mpumalanga. As someone deeply passionate about education and developmental services, I'm thrilled to have this chance to make a positive impact on an underserved community.

Secondly, I'll be conducting primary research for my senior thesis exploring media preservation in post-apartheid South Africa. This scholarly work will contribute to our understanding of the nation's rich cultural heritage after a tumultuous period in its history.

While this is an amazing opportunity, I need to raise funds to ensure that I am able to sustain my stay in the country. Specifically, I need support for:

- Travel within South Africa to and from cities like Johannesburg, Pretoria, Mbombela and Barberton

- Renewing my U.S. visa to return for my final year at Ringling

- Internet access and audiovisual equipment for research interviews
