Support Northwest Spotted Drafts' Tournament of Roses Parade
Donation protected
Northwest Spotted Drafts, owned by Craig Wilder and Gail Nelson (Ferndale, Washington) is proud to have been chosen to participate in the world-famous Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California on New Years Day, 2025.
Northwest Spotted Drafts was founded more than 25 years ago by Paul & Gail Nelson under the farm name of Reinbow Ranch. Paul was a Vietnam veteran, awarded the Purple Heart for bravery, who loved his country and loved the Spotted Draft Horse. Paul passed away two years ago from Leukemia and Craig has taken over the hitch to keep Paul’s dream of showing and exhibiting the beautiful Spotted Drafts alive. This appearance in the Tournament of Roses Parade is in memory of a great man who would be so proud to see his dream come true if he were with us today.
THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO INTRODUCE THE NORTH AMERICAN SPOTTED DRAFT HORSE TO THE WORLD, WITH BILLIONS OF VIEWERS ACROSS THE GLOBE. But the 2500 mile / 9-day trip is going to be a very expensive venture. Northwest Spotted Drafts will not be able to attend without the help of generous donors who would like to see the Spotted Draft Horse promoted to the world in a widely televised parade.
Our goal is $15,000, and if the goal is not met and the hitch is not able to attend, all donations will be refunded.
If the goal is met, and the hitch gets to fulfill this once in a lifetime opportunity -- and after all expenses are paid – any remaining funds will be donated to the North American Spotted Draft Horse Association. Northwest Spotted Drafts (Craig Wilder & Gail Nelson) will not keep any money beyond actual expenses.
Follow the Northwest Spotted Drafts on Facebook.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your donations to make this dream come true.
