Dear friends and community members,

I am reaching out to you today to support North City Presbyterian Preschool in Poway, CA. For the past 26 years, North City Preschool has provided early childhood care and development to the sprouting youth of the greater San Diego Area.

In recent years, the Universal Transitional Kindergarten (UTK) program has incentivized parents to withdraw their children from private, faith-based schools, drastically impacting the revenue and sustainability of private preschools. NC Preschool is currently down 40% enrollment from previous years.

As a parent of a NC Preschool toddler, this statistic is unsettling and worrisome for the future of our church and community. I am wholeheartedly confident that North County Preschool has built a faith-based learning environment that aligns with the values of the church and our home.

As of this writing, North City Preschool has resources to sustain through the end of November 2025. Our immediate need is to raise $50,000 in order to continue the school year through June, and then allow us the opportunity to create a path for many more years. As we approach a challenge like this, my hope is that such hardship serves as an opportunity for the Lord to draw his people back to him, and give in ways that provide a clearer path forward for North City Preschool.

I pray that we are able to grow on the hope of the congregation and school community to not only make it through the school year, but to build a path forward that is sustainable for 26 more years!
