Last week, my 55-year-old cousin, Norma "Luckie" Alonso, had a terrible headache that seemed to go on for a couple of days. She went out with her mom and daughter but began to feel sick. Her vision was cloudy, and her head was hurting even more. As her daughter was driving her home to rest, Norma had a stroke in the car. She could not speak anymore, and part of her face swelled up. Her daughter pulled over and called an ambulance. Norma did, in fact, have a stroke and spent a couple of days in the ICU. She is having problems forming words and trouble speaking. Her right leg is very weak, and she is having trouble walking. She has a long recovery ahead of her, but with God's help and family support, we are confident that she can recover. Unfortunately, she will not be able to work for a while. This is going to cause more stress, worry, and a financial burden on her since she is a single mom with kids at home, huge medical bills on top of her monthly living expenses to pay. If you could find it in your heart to help her out, we would all greatly appreciate it. No amount is too small. I thank you in advance for your help and will keep everyone updated on Norma's progress. We love you, Norma!
