Hi everyone. I’m typically not the type to ask anyone for help but with the way that things are going, it seems like I have no choice. Anyone that knows me, knows Nori. She’s the sweetest 6 year old corgi you’ll ever meet and she’s my entire world, other than my husband Quan. Towards the end of August 2025, Nori has been diagnosed with chronic pneumonia and was hospitalized in the ICU for 6 days. She’s been on a roller coaster ever since, to feeling the slightest bit better to declining rapidly. For the last two months she’s been stagnant and almost back to herself at one point, but in a blink of an eye her lungs started to sound icky again. Nori has left every veterinarian she’s visited stunned. Her symptoms does not perfectly tie to one diagnosis and no one knows what she has. They all have recommended a bronchioalveolar lavage to sample her fluid in the lungs and see what it could be and the only result from that is that she has bronchiectasis where her small bronchioles are so inflamed and damaged that they have widened, making it hard for her to get rid of the pneumonia and prone to her getting it again. Since her symptoms have been pneumonia related, insurance keeps calling her condition pre existing and is not covering any of her vet bills. Everything we’ve done for her has been out of pocket and it’s unfortunately getting the best of us. Due to all the medications she’s on, this had lead to stomach ulcers and she’s been throwing up blood for the last two days. She’s currently being hospitalized once again due to dehydration and not being able to keep anything down. I’m asking for any kind of help to keep my baby girl here with me as long as possible.
