My name is Jaime Green, and I’m writing on behalf of my close friend Elizabeth and her daughter Norah because they are facing a medical crisis no family is ever prepared for.
Norah is bright, compassionate, and fiercely determined. She dreams of becoming a lawyer one day—not for prestige, but to defend people who don’t have a voice. She has always believed that justice matters.
Right now, her world revolves around surviving daily pain.
Norah has a rare and complex arachnoid cyst in her brain. She is currently being closely monitored by a local neurosurgeon in Austin, Texas. Over the coming months, she will undergo a series of extensive tests to determine how aggressive the cyst is, how much time there may be before surgery becomes necessary, and whether surgical removal is even possible.
What doctors do know is this: if surgery is required, there are only a handful—approximately five neurosurgeons on Earth—with the specialized experience to take on a case like Norah’s.
This is now a race against the clock to determine progression, gather imaging, and identify the right surgical team before her condition worsens.
In the meantime, Norah’s daily life is severely impacted. She lives with constant, debilitating head pain and significant balance issues. Walking can be unsteady. Concentration is exhausting. School has become incredibly difficult. What used to be normal childhood activities now require immense effort and recovery time.
Her life is consumed by medical appointments—neurological evaluations, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and repeated imaging. Because remaining completely still for MRIs is not realistic given her pain and symptoms, she must undergo long sessions under anesthesia just to complete the scans needed to monitor her brain safely.
This is not a single event. This is ongoing, relentless medical management.
Medical bills are already piling up—even with insurance. Copays, imaging costs, therapy sessions, anesthesia, specialist consultations—it adds up quickly. Elizabeth has been out of work for the past two weeks caring for Norah during this acute phase, and that loss of income has placed her in an immediate financial bind.
They need help now.
Elizabeth and Norah are also still rebuilding from years of instability and hardship. Stability was hard-won. Financial recovery has been fragile. This medical crisis has struck before they had the chance to fully regain their footing.
Funds raised will go directly toward:
• Ongoing neurological monitoring and imaging
• Therapy and anesthesia costs
• Medical copays and out-of-pocket expenses
• Travel expenses once the appropriate surgical specialist is identified
• Basic living expenses while Elizabeth is out of work caring for Norah
This fundraiser is about buying time, securing expert care, and giving Norah the best possible chance at a future not defined by pain.
With proper intervention and recovery, she can return to school with stability and continue on her path toward college and law school. That future is still possible—but it depends on swift action and sustained support.
Norah has shown extraordinary strength. But strength alone cannot carry the financial weight of this fight.
If you can donate, share, or amplify this story, you are helping a child access the rare expertise she may soon need—and helping her mother stay afloat while fighting for her daughter’s life.
Thank you for standing beside them during this critical moment.
