Hello Everyone!
My name is Maddie Segrist and I am creating this fundraiser to help raise money for Norah Segrist, my sister! This fall, she made the move to Nashville to pursue her dream of making it big singing and song writing. As a big sister, I could not be more proud and excited for her. She moved into her first apartment and took every amazing detail of her personality and her life to make it truly a home. There is not a single thing in her apartment that you look at and don't immediately see her beautiful personality shine through. Unfortunately, while away on vacation, the neighbor's apartment directly behind her caught fire leaving almost every one of her belongings destroyed by smoke or in need of extreme cleaning and restoration. When I heard the news of this terrible event, my heart broke, as I knew how much she had put into this apartment and this dream.
For those of you who don't know Norah, she is one of the most amazing young women I have ever known. Throughout her life, I have had the first hand experience of watching her grow into one of the kindest, funniest, loving, compassionate and driven people; a true ray of sunshine in the world. From a very young age she was always involved in some form of music. Starting with elementary school orchestra, she then competed in the Colorado Thespian Convention, and finally she was selected multiple times to participate in the Colorado All-State Choir. In addition, she also took and taught violin lessons, was the president and student director for the Legend High School choir in Parker, blared show tunes every time she was in the car, and performed her own private concerts while getting ready for school at 7AM.
The loss of her musical equipment and belongings has been a devastating blow to her life and dreams. If you have anything available to give to the cause, it would be much appreciated so we can get her back on her feet!
Thank you!
