Support Noor’s Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected
I’m reaching out to ask for your help for my cousin Noor.

Noor is only 28 years old and is currently in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, fighting a very serious cancer in his throat, specifically in the area at the back of the mouth. He was first diagnosed with a type of cancer called mucoepidermoid carcinoma and received radiotherapy in 2019. Sadly, his condition has worsened, and more recent tests have shown another aggressive cancer called squamous cell carcinoma, which affects the lining of the mouth and throat, can grow quickly, and makes breathing and eating extremely difficult.

Earlier this year, Noor also developed a severe problem with his jaw where it became almost completely stiff and difficult to open. This required major surgery, but even after that, his condition continued to decline. Doctors have now confirmed that the cancer can no longer be removed.

He is now relying on a tube in his neck to help him breathe and another tube for feeding just to stay alive.

Doctors have advised urgent chemotherapy to help slow the illness and ease his pain. Each session costs around 13,000 SAR, and the total cost of treatment is expected to reach around 150,000 SAR (approximately £30,000).

Noor and his family are originally from Somalia and are not financially well-off. In Saudi Arabia, treatment is not free for them, and they are already struggling to manage daily life. This has become a huge burden on them that they simply cannot handle alone.

Noor is someone everyone speaks well of. He has always been kind, generous, and selfless — always there for his family, especially in difficult times. He supported others without hesitation, hosted relatives visiting Saudi, and made everyone feel at home, never expecting anything in return.

Now he is the one who needs help.

We are trying to raise 150,000 SAR to cover his treatment. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. And if you’re unable to donate, please share this — it could reach someone who can.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever relieves a believer’s hardship of this world, Allah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment.” (Sahih Muslim)

May Allah reward you for your kindness and support
