Nooria Nodrat is an Afghan blind woman who leads the Afghanistan International Foundation for the Blind. The organization supports the blind population in Kabul and collaborates with other national and international nonprofits to provide assistance to the blind population of Afghanistan in the areas of health, education, and community service.
Every year, Ms. Nodrat participates in marathons to raise money for the Foundation. This year, she will participate in the National Woman Half Marathon on April 29, 2018 and has a goal to raise $5000-$7000.
Funds raised will be used to purchase computers and assistive technology for blind college students at Kabul University.
