Mission Statement

I became a police officer with the intention of helping others, but soon realized that the reality of the job was different. I found myself having to navigate the complex and often frustrating political landscape in order to advance in my career.

After spending several years in law enforcement, I decided it was time to share my story from an insider's perspective. I want to take my audience on a wild ride, giving them a taste of what I experienced, but from the comfort of their own homes. I want to share my portfolio with the world by transcribing it so that others can experience the journey with me.

The Story

A female Palestinian-American actress, Noor Katib, navigates her dual identities in the civilian world after leaving her career as a police officer. Her past shadows her everywhere, from leaving the thin blue line and her twin brother to grappling with a lost identity and unresolved guilt. Noor loved her job but had to contend with internal politics and navigate a treacherous path as a young female in a male-dominated police force.

An innovative TV series about Noor Katib, a Palestinian former cop turned actress, who navigates her dual identities. Each season explores a key question reflecting pivotal moments in Noor's unresolved past. This powerful coming-of-age story, through the lens of a cop transitioning into Hollywood stardom, highlights the challenges she faced in the police force and the tensions within her family.

What Does This Story Mean to ME?

This story means a lot to me. My journey has taught me so much about myself and allowed me to follow my own path, exploring the real me every day. I want people to feel inspired to step into their own lane and pursue a life true to them. To explore their true meaning of life, understanding that being human isn’t linear. We all make mistakes, we all have flaws, and often, we seek in others what we need to find within ourselves.

This process was painful, dark, and lonely. I’m sharing this story because these were lessons I have learned throughout the past few years. I decided to take a chance on myself.

This story is about resilience, true identity, and taking responsibility for your life.

Why Are We Telling This Story?

I want to tell my story. Additionally, this powerful story will resonate deeply and comfort anyone who has grieved, felt alone, not really belonging anywhere, or felt accepted.

Where Are We with the Project So Far?

The next step is creating a TV trailer/teaser as a visual. This is a complex TV series that can help explain the theme in a few minutes to the Networks, distributors and others. Despite being told numerous times that it doesn’t make sense and no one cares for those anymore; I’m a visual person and need to create a TV trailer to illustrate the message to these networks, packaging it with my bible and pitch deck.

Our Goal

We hope to raise $10K. I would love to pay everyone helping me on this project (production crew members, cast, costumes/props, locations, post-production (sound design, edits, etc.) and I also plan to submit it to many competitions and film festivals.
