Update - ”With your help, I am a little over halfway there! Thank you for believing in me and my efforts to serve our community.”
I am raising funds to cover the costs of enrolling in the Nonprofit Certificate Intensive Track at Duke University. https://learnmore.duke.edu/nonprofit/intensivetrack
I have worked for a nonprofit for nine years in the Carrboro area. I help low-income adult learners achieve their academic and personal goals, creating better lives for themselves and their families. As a program manager, my students have earned their GEDs, passed citizenship exams, improved math, reading, and language skills, and begun attending community college. These are their accomplishments, but I was able to find the resources they needed and provide motivation and advice. I have helped many students achieve their dreams.
I have an MEd in Adult Education and a TESOL certificate. My goal is to gather knowledge through the Duke program to lead and establish a nonprofit organization, continuing my work serving low-income adult learners. All resources I offer will be at no cost to the learner.
The Nonprofit Intensive Track covers eight key areas of nonprofit management, including financial management, fundraising, program planning and evaluation, board development, grant writing, volunteer management, human resources development, and leadership.
Tuition is $2250.
Thank you, and please contact me with any questions.
