Nonna Fernanda has been the heart of our community—bringing warmth, laughter, and endless pasta-fueled joy into our lives. Now, she needs us.

Fernanda, 88 years old, a beloved actress and true icon of Bairro Alto, has lived in her Lisbon apartment for over 40 years. However, everything took a turn when a foreign investor purchased the three floors below her, initiated major renovations, and then vanished. The construction was poorly executed, causing severe damage to her home and making it unstable and unsafe. The work has been left unfinished for years.

With her apartment no longer safe to live in, Fernanda has been forced into a hostel, where she pays €450 a month—more than her pension. At 88 years old, she now shares a bathroom with strangers instead of enjoying the comfort of her own home.

With no family, Fernanda relies on us as her only support system and we are coming together to help Nonna:
