Help me to support my daughter Nonah's Dream

Donation protected
I am Nyeeyah, and I'm reaching out for help to support my daughter Nonah Waldron, a remarkable athlete who qualified for the World Athletics U20 World Championships (Track & Field) in Peru, scheduled to begin in late August. As a freshman at USC, Nonah qualified to represent Team USA in the 100-meter hurdles at the 2024 Championships! Thankfully, she will definitely get there as her travel cost are covered by USA TF.

However, the training expenses leading up to the event are covered by the athletes parents. And with her decision to stay in LA to train, those cost have been daunting. In days past, this was no issue for us, however with the loss of my husband in 2021, and being the sole financial support of our family, covering all of her training expenses has been challenging and at times has been a struggle for me. For example, securing her housing so that she could train leading up to the event has exceeded $5K. Given my current life's circumstances, Nonah's exceeded what I, as the parent, can contribute. So I am reaching out for support from the beautiful souls who may assist me in supporting her dream. Please help me to get her to the finish line! She is truly deserving.

Nonah has already accomplished the following in high school: US #1 in the 60-meter hurdles (high school year 2021–22), two times as an individual national champion (New Balance and Nike), ten plus times as an individual All-American, eight times as a state champion in the 60, 300, and 100-meter hurdles, Michigan's Gatorade Player of the Year 2023, Michigan Female Athlete of the Year 2023, Detroit Female Track and Field Athlete of the Year 2023, and Michigan State Records Holder in the 400 and 300 hurdles.

Collegiate: Best freshman in the PAC 12 100-meter run; fastest rookie at the NCAA West Regionals 100-meter run; only freshman to advance to the final round of the NCAA West Regional Championship.

Academics Achievements:
High school: 2020–23; class valedictorian; honor roll, grades 9–12; AP scholar, scholar athlete, Scholarly Statewide, Academic Principal Circle, All-American Honor

College: Scholar Principals Award (Dean's List, second semester)
Nominated to US Senator Laphonza Butler's Young Leaders Academy

These achievements are a true reflection of Nonah's unwavering commitment to the sport. During her sophomore year in high school, her father and best friend Troy Waldron, after long battling his many health issues including Covid, passed away from Lupus and kidney failure. This was beyond devastating for Nonah, as he was her trainer and supporter during track season. He missed very few track meets, and without him, many assumed she would be lost. The following year, as a junior, she experienced a significant injury while running the 300 hurdles. It took many months of rehab, yet she fought through her grief. She got back up to defy all obstacles and returned to pursue her passion.

Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with your friends and family. Every donation, no matter how small, brings Nonah one step closer to achieving her dreams. We are incredibly grateful for your support and belief in Nonah's potential.

Thank you in advance!
